Ordnance Yard Priddy’s Hard

A superb selection of contemporary homes within the walls of the old Shell Filling Rooms, each enjoying stunning views over Forton Lake towards Royal Clarence Marina, The Historic Dockyards and the Spinnaker Tower.

Nestled along the south bank of Priddy’s Hard, overlooking the millennium footbridge lies The Straight, which now has become The Ordnance Yard. This stretch of waterfront formed a vital part of the Victorian and war time armouries, providing the arsenal that protected the United Kingdom during these industrial times.
It was in The Straight that the shells were filled with explosives and then transferred to a storage facility via a miniature tramway. Each filling station was housed between enormous blast walls for protection and it is this run of solid thickset brick walls that remains today and forms such a striking setting for this site.

Elite Homes are now delighted to be bringing purpose back to these substantial structures with the creation of luxury ultra-modern homes designed by John Pardy Architects cradled in the confines of this historic naval setting. All properties are designed to maximise the unique aspects of this historic location with a high specification throughout.
